Join us at this face to face conference event at Wandsworth Professional Development Centre, SW17 0AQ, to hear Dr Julian Grenier’s address, meet the new Early Years inclusion team, contribute to the Government's Green Paper consultation, and choose two 45 minute workshops in the afternoon.

The event will be FREE, however to ensure as many settings and schools can attend, 1 person per provider only.

Who is this conference for?
Inclusion leads and SENCos from the PVI sector, schools with a nursery offer and the maintained nursery schools

You will have a choice of two workshops (and 2 second choices), once you are signed up via TPD, the work shop offer will be circulated at the beginning of June.

Safeguarding children is everybody’s responsibility and it is essential that professionals who have contact with children are clear about their duties and responsibilities. This course provides an overview of the current safeguarding procedures and explores the difference between safeguarding children and child protection. It provides up to date, practical information to enable you to create and sustain safer environments for children and your workforce.

The course will give you the knowledge and confidence to successful marshal a fire successfully.

A course for Multi Agency practitioners aimed at building confidence and improving communication skills when managing difficult or sensitive issues such as FGM, PMH or substance misuse with parents/carers. Raising awareness of how to manage conflict, and providing knowledge of when and how to challenge/escalate inter-professional concerns.

Have the knowledge to act when a fire is detected.

It is recommended for:
• parents, family members, carers and workers who need to use Makaton at home and in their work
• participants who need a more detailed knowledge about using and applying Makaton to develop the communication skills of others

This is a Level 1 training which provides a practical introduction to the Makaton Language Programme.

Sessions include discussing commonly asked questions, hints and tips for effective signing and symbol use and how to start using Makaton in everyday situations at home or work.
