*** Announcement: Covid-19 adaptations ***
As we are under extraordinary circumstances, we will apply the following protocols as per government guidelines to protect the public from possible spread of the Coronavirus:
· To follow social distancing, we limit the number of participants to have smaller class size · If you think you have symptoms, please do not come to the course. If you have paid, you can re-schedule after a period of time, usually 2 weeks after. · On arrival, please wait outside the training room as we may check your temperature before entering the room. · We ask that you bring your face mask when attending our course. We will supply a visor to each participant, if preferred. This may be worn by itself or in addition to your face mask. · Adaptations are applied to some practical exercises. For example: during recovery position, participants will not demonstrate as a pair. Participants will demonstrate recovery position solo while constantly describing the steps. · There will be handwashing facilities and handwashing gels available throughout. We will ask you to wash your hands regularly during the course: on arrival, after a practical assessment, during breaks, after each session and before leaving. · If you have a new consistent cough, we will ask you to leave. Please use the tissues provided if you need to cough. Never cough without covering your mouth with a tissue. · The training room and all training equipment are deep cleaned before and after training. Each participant will have their own manikin fitted with a new/unused lung and sterilised manikin mouths.
The Awarding Body can only issue a pdf certificate which I can email to you the day after the course. When all their workers are back from furlough, they will send us the printed version which we can send to you by post. I can’t be sure when that will be. When the hard copy is available, we send certificates in the post by 'signed for' delivery to help us track delivery. This will require your signature. If no one is around to sign for it, the envelope will be returned to us if not collected after a week or so. Kindly make sure somebody is available to sign for the post so this will not be returned to us. Or, when giving us the address to send your certificate to, a work address may be more practical (where possible) to ensure that there is always somebody to sign for your post.
